Sandipan Nath

Working across visual and sonic media, Nath’s work is rooted in socio-ecological explorations. His spatial interventions and sound objects become interfaces to activate notions of ecospheric consciousness and social transformations. Guided by situated and collaborative methodologies, he develops poetic approaches to knowledge making usually materialized in mixed-media pieces, multichannel audio & video installations, data sculptures and site specific interventions in public spaces.

He holds a BTech from National Institute of Technology, Silchar (IN) and an MA from Royal Academy of Arts, The Hague (NL). His recent practice revolves around post-digital and decolonizing practices in archival contexts , explorations of urban microbiomes, noise pollution in the oceans and decentralization of human subjects at the center of all universal understanding.
